Her patterns are generally advanced and very lifelike. The patterns are very detailed and well done making these dolls within the reach of even beginner doll makers. The one I have made included many photos documenting the process and face painting instructions. All the dolls went together beautifully and I was pleased with the results. The dolls I have actually made are on CD1 and CD2.
Phyllis' patterns are more advanced than a typical beginner, but her instructions are so detailed that I think most beginners would be able to handle them easily enough so long as they are patient, there are multiple steps. Pattern pieces fit well, written instruction is very precise and pictures are clear and pertinent. Phyllis is quick with responses on line and loves to see pictures!
I started out making patterns by Phyllis. The success I had encouraged me to continue making dolls. I love her patterns and her instructions are thorough. If there is anything you do not understand, she will explain it to you until you achieve success. Wonderful lady and talented pattern designer!!!
