Very nice dolls. Poorly written patterns. Especially ones with paperclay involved. Most patterns are all just a different size variation of the same thing.

I have been sewing for many years but I find these patterns difficult to follow and the head always seems to be too small for the body.

Becky's patterns are unique and very original and look wonderful in the photos. But, they lack detailed instructions needed for complex designs. I am an advanced dollmaker and do not think a beginner could do them. I also find some of the body parts to be out of proportion. Some of the hands or feet are too large or small and I have to redesign them to make the patterns work.

Becky was my reason for being a doll artist. I had made "prims" and other rag types...but they never "touched me"..they seemed unreal...her patterns spoke to me. They are not an easy pattern for a beginner due to the tiny fingers tend to discourage you...but with practice and tutorials on finger turning...a beginner then can try. The wonderful dolls will be the reason to create more!

I'm a very advanced doll maker and although I love her ideas, I too find that most need to be redesigned due to parts that don't fit, legs/ arms too long/short, heads too small, clothing too large and so on. Details are sketchy for some of what you would consider NEED TO know TO MAKE THE PATTERNS LOOK CORRECT..Telling me stand over the sink and paint with water until it looks right is a bit vague! Not to mention she doesn't want to allow you to make dolls for sale from the patterns. Great ideas, needs better skills at detail and better fitting pattern pieces
